And the good news is that exchanging shopping posts is really convenient. Ready to start shopping for your followers on Instagram? Let’s start!
You have to take a few precautions before shopping for the first message, so here is everything you have to do:
How to set up shop on Instagram
Verify the Instagram specifications are available in your account. With regards to setting up their shopping, Instagram has a range of very stringent criteria.
This means that the application will only sell to genuine stores and e-commerce brands.
Some of the required specifications are:
(1) First, your company must be headquartered in one of the 46 licensed Instagram shopping countries. The countries accepted are Canada, the United States, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, and France. Including Germany, Italy, Sweden, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, South America, and Belgium. Further, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Greece, and several others.
(2) Your Instagram username must be with an organization that offers actual items mainly. You must have an Instagram profile and follow.
(3) Instagram’s trading deals and trade policies.
(4) The country or age limits cannot be placed on your Facebook business page linked to your Instagram account. The Facebook catalog for your items must link to your Instagram company profile.
Link your business profile to a Facebook
You are prepared to continue to the second step to create a catalog for your items if you follow all these criteria.
Two ways to do this are available:
(1) Fill your Facebook profile with a Store Section
Click the Shop tab to go to your Facebook Company Page. You can need to change the page template to the shopping template if you are unable to see the Shop tab instantly – just follow these instructions.
(a) To agree to the Merchant Terms, press “Set up shop.”
(b) Enter and click Next to enter your business address.
(c) Choose your Facebook shop currency and insert your business page’s e-mail address. Select Next then.
(d) Add your tax identification number for each state/country in which you are in.
(e) You can then begin adding items to your store! Press Finish!
Using Sales Manager Stock Catalog
(1) Go to the Company Manager account with your Instagram business profile linked to your Facebook page.
(2) Build a new catalog or find an existing catalog you want to use while shopping on Instagram from your business manager account. Make sure the two accounts are partnered if the catalog you would like to use is in another Sales Manager account.
Notes: You can choose to set up a shop on Facebook directly from those platforms. If you use Shopify or BigCommerce to handle your product list you can handle both your online store and product catalogs in one location quickly.
Instagram will check your account
Once you have created your Facebook shop or linked to a product catalog to your Business Administrator account. Instagram will check your account before you allow the shopping functions access.
The analysis process will take a few days, and this is a time for clockwork. Or if you start all up from scratch or add a new catalog to your current store, the process can take a bit longer, as Instagram must still check the entire catalog.
Everything you can do is relax and wait before Instagram shops give you the green light!
